Courses in the program focus on mourning, grief and bereavement issues, communication strategies and religious philosophies of dying and death from the perspective of both the dying and bereaved. Graduates of this unique program will have the skills and experience to better understand, support and care for those facing or coping with loss and death. The program attracts people with experience in the field of mental health services. Students develop an understanding of the foundations of mental health rehabilitation, as well as the knowledge and skills related to integrating Psychosocial Rehabilitation approach within practice and programs. The program also provides knowledge and skills to frontline staff and service users of mental health agencies.
