Students will understand that in our multicultural society these issues can lead to exclusion and inequality for their customers/ clients, often along protected grounds of race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, age, sex sexual orientation, marital status, family status, physical or mental disability and pardoned criminal conviction. Students will examine diversity in a social context, explore critical differences in cross-cultural communication and identify the sources, causes, forms and manifestations of these issues in our society. This program will prepare graduates to act equitably and justly when working with diverse populations. This Ontario College Certificate program will be delivered online by OntarioLearn.
