My high school years were very difficult. I was a rough kid, always fighting – and I dropped out after several attempts at high school. I always thought I was too old to go back to school, but friends encouraged me to do it. I'm so glad I did. As someone with a lot of life experience, I earned my GED in six weeks! That made me want to do more, so I took the Emergency Services Communicator program. The teachers were so calm and nice and it was a great atmosphere to learn. Maybe this summer I'll take some more courses and keep educating myself. My goal is to work for a police department as a prisoner escort.
