Starting to think
about summer
There may be snow on the ground, but students
are already starting to think about summer.
Many summer employment opportunities are
posted early. Connect with your career services
on campus to look for summer employment
options. Career services staff can assist students
in preparing their resume, cover letter and job
applications. Students can also check online for
job postings relevant to their program by
visiting GeorgianCollege.ca/co-op.
Throughout February and March, many program
areas and campuses offer career fairs, bringing
employers on campus. These employers are
looking for students in Georgian programs and
offer part-time, summer and graduate
employment opportunities.
Each campus has a Food Locker program run by
the Georgian College Students' Association
(GCSA). The program is condential. Students
go to GeorgianFoodLocker.com to ll in a form.
Students will be emailed back with a locker and
combination where they go to pick up a bag of
food. If you are having a hard time with budget-
ing or nances, connect with your First Year
Transition Advisor for advice.
