Respect lives here
At Georgian College, we're lucky to have
students from all over the world with a diverse
range of backgrounds, cultures, orientations,
skills and experiences.
We believe that respect is a human right and at
Georgian we want to foster and promote a
supportive, inclusive environment. We want to
challenge the attitudes, beliefs and behaviours
that fail to recognize human dignity and teach
and model appropriate ways to interact with
others. At Georgian, we promote respect for
community, relationships, environment, and self.
There are Aboriginal Resource Centres at the
Barrie, Midland, Orillia and Owen Sound
campuses. Self-identifying as an Aboriginal
student helps us help you. Georgian has a
number of unique programs and services
specically for Aboriginal students. These
programs and services are designed to help
support students all throughout their studies at
Georgian. There are several scholarships and
bursaries designated specically for Aboriginal
students; visit Aboriginal Services to learn more.
