The program
This program assists students in determining which health science program best suits
their needs and career aspirations. As a student, you can assess the expectations of the
various disciplines and your own suitability and compatibility. The program also provides
you with the opportunity to earn the prerequisites for health science-related programs.
Graduate career opportunities
Eligible to apply to first year of a Health and Wellness program at Georgian or other
college.
Admission requirements
OSSD or equivalent with
• Grade 12 English (C or U)
Mature students, non-secondary school applicants (19 years or older) and home school
applicants may also be considered for admission. Eligibility may be met by applicants
who have taken equivalent courses, upgrading, completed their GED and equivalency

Applicants who have taken courses from a recognized and accredited postsecondary
institution and/or have relevant life/learning experience may also be considered for

Graduation requirements
Students are required to complete 1 communications course • 9 mandatory courses •
2 general education courses to be chosen from the college list
