ORALDEEN HAUGHTON
Therapeutic Nurse
City of Toronto Long Term Care
2013 graduate
I'm the third of seven children and
the first to graduate from university.
I was anxious prior to starting,
wondering whether I would succeed
with school – working full-time as a
registered practical nurse (RPN), and
being a single mom. My experience
with the program was very good.
What stands out the most for me
is its flexibility. I could work as an
RPN while achieving an RN degree.
It's a friendly environment and
achieving my goal has increased my
self-esteem. Professionally, I have
gained a lot of respect from
my co-workers.
