BACHELOR of
BUSINESS
(Golf Management)
Co-op, four years, Barrie
The Bachelor of Business (Golf Management) program provides students
with a degree-level education in business management with an applied
focus on the golf and club industry. Students will develop knowledge and
understanding of the key concepts, methodologies, current trends,
theoretical approaches and assumptions to manage effectively in this
industry. The program provides a practical academic environment for
students to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to promote
integrity and professionalism while managing in diverse environments
within the golf industry. Additionally, there is considerable off-campus
travel to support learning outcomes and student awareness. Excursions
(most costs included in tuition) run from one to seven days in duration.
During the four years of study, students will visit notable golf industry
experts and destinations in the U.S. and Scotland.
A unique approach to the three co-op (management training opportunity)
work terms requires that students complete a skills passport with specific
learning outcomes which reinforce the four years of academic study.
Graduates of this degree program are prepared to think critically and
innovatively, and to professionally apply business management skills.
