In an effort to engage students in meaningful small group activities, team-based learning activities will be reviewed, specifically, collaborative quizzing techniques. There are three phases with TBL: preparation, practice application (with frequent feedback), and assessment. These phases will be reviewed and, via group discussion, examples will be provided. Using these principles will provide high levels of engagement and focus in the classroom. Faculty will learn to implement practice strategies of TBL throughout their curriculum and evaluative methods and more specifically a discussion on collaborative quizzing will occur.
