Henry Bernick ENTREPRENEURSHIP CENTRE Accelerating student success. The Henry Bernick Entrepreneurship Centre (HBEC) helps students and community-based entrepreneurs start and grow their business or social enterprise through training, funding support, and: • Mentorship and one-on-one coaching. • Connections to industry, government and services. GeorgianCollege.ca/HBEC STUDENT ENTREPRENEURS LAUNCH THEIR OWN PRODUCT Culinary Management students Patricia Di Chiara, Emily Behm and Trisha Speakman conceived of a nut-free chocolate spread and received help from the HBEC to create a business plan and secure funding. STUDENTS SOLVE PROBLEMS AT HANDS-ON EVENT Students participate in weekend hackathons and form teams to solve real-world business and social challenges. Irin Avery and Marco Duarte won the 2016 Georgian Den competition. Their business – College Coders – came together at an HBEC-sponsored boot camp. Entrepreneurship is everywhere at Georgian!
