RADIO COMMUNICATIONS 18 REGISTER ONLINE marinetraining.ca RADIO COMMUNICATIONS RESTRICTED OPERATOR'S CERTIFICATE – MARITIME COMMERCIAL (ROC–MC) This course is intended for mariners serving on compulsorily fitted commercial ships within the North American A1 sea areas. It is compliant with the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watch-keeping for Seafarers, 1978, as amended in the 1995 (STCW 95 Regulation IV/2). The material presented in this course covers the scope of the examination for the Restricted Operator's Certificate – Maritime Commercial (ROC-MC) for the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS). Course code: MARI 0019 Course length: three days (24 hours) Course fee: $625 GMDSS – GENERAL OPERATOR'S CERTIFICATE (GOC) This training course is intended for seafarers who require a Global Maritime, Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) General Operator's Certificate in accordance with Section A-IV/2 of the STCW Code. Course content is a combination of theoretical delivery and practical operation of varied communication equipment. Course code: MARI 0107 Prerequisites: 18 years or older Course length: 10 days (70 hours) Course fee: $1,275 Please note: Candidates must bring two citizenship/passport photographs for their GOC certificate.
