These experiences, along with his degree, helped him become a manager at an Ontario university. "I'm not yet 30 so this is something I'm quite proud of!" One year after the Centre for Health, Wellness and Sciences opened, Paul returned to the building that bears his name with his grandchildren's school in tow. His message to the children was simple: stay in school and follow your dreams. Wanting to make postsecondary education accessible, relevant and rewarding is why he donated $2 million to Georgian. Barb is proud to have contributed to many "firsts," such as making Georgian the first Ontario college to offer on site a university degree from a non-Canadian university. "I felt it was important to expand our students' higher learning opportunities," says the retired dean. Now she works hard to keep all retirees connected.
