To celebrate Georgian's 50th anniversary, we set out to ask one person per year since 1967 to share their Georgian story in 50 words. The theme of family and lifelong connections was quick to emerge and as such, for some years we couldn't choose just one person. Our 50-person feature actually includes 58 individuals, from alumni to donors to long-serving staff. Their stories are assigned to a year that marked either their graduation, the start of their employment, or the year they made a significant contribution. Each person remains connected to the college in their own meaningful way, and for those who are no longer with us, their legacies continue to live on. We're proud of this assortment of individuals who represent a cross- section of Georgian, our multiple campuses, every academic area, our Indigenous and international communities, and our generous donors. Special thanks to everyone who suggested people to be included, to our Alumni Association Executive Council and staff who served on our selection committee, and most importantly, to the people who shared their stories. Enjoy the read. If you find yourself reminiscing about your own Georgian story, send it to us at alumni@georgiancollege.ca. We would love to hear from you!
