Teaching and Training Adults − Facilitation Skills
Facilitation Skills is a process that contributes structure to inter-
actions so groups are able to function effectively and have richer
conversations. With its focus on asking instead of telling, listening
and building consensus, facilitation is the essential skill for anyone
working collaboratively with others. This module will explore facilita-
tion roles and demonstrate facilitation techniques.

Teaching and Training Adults − Group Process
Learners will develop skills to facilitate co-operative learning and group
process in an instructional environment; identify and analyze techniques
to work effectively with groups; and apply positive communication skills
that encourage active participation in group settings.

This module introduces participants to methods and strategies for
selecting online tools and applications to support learning. Learners
will gain hands-on experience using tools that are free and accessible.

Today's adult learners bring a variety of backgrounds and
experiences to the classroom. This module examines the
implications of a multi-generational classroom on learning and
development. Practical applications for engaging each generation
of learner will be discussed and demonstrated.

Tools for Teaching and Training
This course introduces learners to a variety of tools, ranging from the
traditional to the latest technologies that can be used to enhance
teaching techniques used in the instructional process. Emphasis will
be placed on the appropriate selection and use of these tools.

Teaching and Training Adults − Workplace Training
This module is an introduction to workplace learning. The relationship
between workplace learning and development on organizational and
individual performance will be discussed. Competencies for workplace
learning and development professionals will be outlined. Learners will
be introduced to an instructional systems design model used to assess
needs, identify if training is a solution, develop learning outcomes and
content, learning and training activities as well as assessment.

Automotive Parts and Service Essentials
This course is designed for individuals currently working in the
automotive industry. The content will cultivate employees to become
an integral part of the customer handling team by developing
professionalism and productivity. The course focuses on managing
client expectations within both departments by improving listening skills
and adapting to the client's personality and rapport. This, in turn, will
lead to increased customer satisfaction index and sales.

A 21st Century Approach
Discovery, initiation, purchase, service, and advocacy are the
processes that comprise an organization's traditional customer
experience. The modern consumer is educated, efficient and tech-
savvy, requiring a customer experience that meets and exceeds
these expectations. Businesses must enhance their traditional
processes with improved communication, collaboration and critical
thinking to meet the demands of the 21st-century consumer.

Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging three-part series
Module 1: Cultures of Belonging
Despite good intentions of management and workers to create
equitable, safe workplaces, many employees continue to feel left
out, disrespected, and exhausted by the daily experience of coping
with microaggressions. It is clear, now more than ever, that good
intentions are not enough. In this module, participants take the first
steps toward creating workplaces that embrace and uplift diverse
lived experiences. They learn to engage all employees to contribute
their best, and work across diverse identities to create lasting,
transformative change. This module is one of three that make up the
Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Series micro-certificate.
