This course has been approved by the Ministry of Transportation. A valid Air Brake Endorsement Certificate will be issued upon successful completion. DRVR 0036 | 18 HRS | BA, OS, MU $441.13 Approved Working at Heights Falls from heights are one of the major causes of injury and fatality in Ontario workplaces. This course is designed to protect Ontario workers from these potentially tragic outcomes. Workers are taught to readily recognize fall hazards and identify the correct control measures to protect themselves. Classroom training is supplemented with practical hands-on training in labs using personal fall protection systems. NOTE: Hard hat, safety glasses and work boots are required. TECH 0551 | 8.5 HRS | BA, MI, MU, OS $200 Approved Working at Heights − Refresher This refresher course is mandatory for all construction workers who work at a height above 2.4 metres in Ontario. This course has a requirement for candidates to attend a refresher course after a three-year period has expired. The refresher course will review all critical elements of the full Approved Working At Heights course. NOTE: MOL Working At Heights wallet card with ID number must be available for verification by the instructor. TECH 0580 | 5 HRS | MI, OS $141 Blueprint Reading, Introduction (AutoCAD) This hands-on course introduces students to blueprint reading. Upon completion of the course, students will have the knowledge to read and interpret engineering drawings. Students will be able to demonstrate a comprehension of multi-view drawings and the ability to sketch simple objects. TECH 0582 | 24 HRS | BA $577.02 Chainsaw Awareness This course covers the workplace legislative requirements for employers, supervisors and workers related to the safe use of chainsaws in industrial and construction environments. TECH 0411 | 6 HRS | OS $185.46 Forklift Operator This theoretical and practical course meets the training requirements outlined in CA/CSA 335-04 Safety Standard for Lift Trucks. Students will be instructed in safe forklift driving. Training in hazard recognition in various workplace scenarios is emphasized. NOTE: CSA steel-toe footwear is required. TECH 0290 | 9 HRS | MI, OS $226.91 Machining, Introduction Learn the basics of safely operating basic machine shop equipment including lathes, drills and saws through theory and hands-on learning in the machine shop. This is the perfect course to upgrade your skills or for the hobbyist to learn machining techniques. You will acquire knowledge in machine shop safety, measurement techniques and basic machine operation. TECH 0597 | 30 HRS | OS $618.73 24 ONLINE Designed for professional technicians aspiring to learn more about a variety of topics, including drivability, emissions diagnostics, anti-lock brakes and airbags.
