MEMBER GUIDELINES Program Advisory Committee 5 Georgian is Ontario's #1 co-op college and a recognized leader in student work experience, with the support of 6,200 employers. Our students believe they can change the world, and we do too. We're the first – and only – college in Canada designated a changemaker college by Ashoka U for our leadership in social innovation and changemaking in higher education. Georgian has one of the highest graduate employment rates among Ontario colleges. According to 2017-18 key performance indicators, 90.3 per cent of our alumni found work within six months of graduation – well above the provincial average. We are home to 13,000 full-time students, including 3,600 international students from 85 countries. Today's economy demands new kinds of knowledge, competencies and skills and we're ensuring all our students – both domestic and international – are prepared for the global realities of the workplace now and in the future. Our programs are taught by inspiring, dynamic faculty with industry expertise across eight locations in Central Ontario: Barrie (north-end campus and downtown location), Midland, Muskoka (Bracebridge), Orangeville, Orillia, Owen Sound and South Georgian Bay (Collingwood). Students study full-time, part-time online or in combination – choosing from certificates, diplomas, degrees, combined degree-diplomas and graduate certificates. We deliver numerous apprenticeship and technical trade options as well as continuing education and workforce development training, providing employers with highly skilled graduates to grow and sustain their operations. Through our Research and Innovation department, Georgian promotes innovation and economic growth – collaborating with industry to meet a wide range of evolving research, development and talent recruitment needs.
