4 Wishing you an enjoyable and successful year. Kind regards, Dr. MaryLynn West-Moynes President and CEO PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE Georgian is fortunate to have exceptional individuals who generously volunteer their time to participate on program advisory committees that guide our curriculum development and influence the work-integrated and experiential learning opportunities we offer our students. These committees help to ensure our course content is relevant and responsive to the evolv- ing needs of employers and our seven campus communities. As an advisory committee member, you play an essential role in helping to deliver our brand promise to accelerate student learning and success. Thanks to your considerable knowledge and expertise, we continue to deliver market-driven programs and excel in academic and training excellence. Georgian is a changemaker college. We're the first – and only – college in Canada desig- nated a changemaker college by Ashoka U for our role in leading social innovation and changemaking in higher education. We're also Ontario's #1 co-op college and a recognized leader in student work experience with the support of 6,200 employers. It's no surprise then that our grads get jobs. Georgian has one of the highest graduate em- ployment rates among Ontario colleges. According to 2017-18 key performance indicators, 90.3 per cent of our alumni found work within six months of graduation – well above the provincial average, which we've exceeded for 20 years. At Georgian, we know the key to the growth and sustainability of our economy and our world is to produce graduates with the skills and the mindset to be innovative thinkers and changemakers. That's why all our programs include entrepreneurial outcomes that prepare our graduates not just to apply their learning practically, but also to think, create, lead and inspire transformative change in their workplaces and communities. While our core focus is – and will always be – students, we're also dedicated to the con- tinued development of local employers and industry partners. Our new Peter B. Moore Advanced Technology Centre at the Barrie Campus is an excellent example of community, industry and students coming together to research, innovate, collaborate and create new opportunities. Together we're fostering future generations of highly skilled workers in Cen- tral Ontario and beyond. I want to personally thank you for your continued time and investment in the college and our students. We are grateful to have you as an advisor and valued friend.
