Prospective students or new registrants are advised to consult the most current information available from the college before making registration decision or course/program choices. In the case of articulation and transfer agreements, applicants must check directly with the articulating/transfer institutions for the most up-to-date information before applying to Georgian programs. ABOUT THIS GUIDE Pages 32 to 127 of this guide allow you to explore your full-time program options in greater detail. They also offer information on the following: Fees For each program, we've combined tuition fees, your fitness membership, ancillary fees and program-specific fees into one number. Fees are approximate and are based on 2015-16 fees. They are subject to change. For a detailed breakdown, visit GeorgianCollege.ca/tuition. Competitive programs Some of Georgian's programs have far more applicants than spots available. For those programs, you need to apply by Feb. 1. In the following pages, competitive programs are marked with a star icon. Placement requirements Some programs have a clinical or work placement component that requires a current Criminal Reference Check and Vulnerable Sector Check from a recognized police service prior to placement. If you've been charged or convicted criminally and not pardoned, you may be prohibited from proceeding to placement. For Health, Wellness and Sciences programs, those who have not been pardoned will be prohibited from proceeding to placement. Note that some jurisdictions require a long lead- time for processing. Please check with the program co-ordinator to ensure sufficient turnaround time. In the following pages, programs with placement requirements are marked with a briefcase icon. For details, visit GeorgianCollege.ca/ placement-requirements. Future study options Many full-time programs have articulation and transfer agreements with other postsecondary institutions. Articulation or transfer agreements allow Georgian graduates to take other programs without having to repeat courses to graduate.
