WHAT YOU NEED TO GET IN DIPLOMAS AND CERTIFICATES Admission requirements are different for each program. You can find program-specific requirements from page 32 to 127 of this book, as well as online at GeorgianCollege.ca/full-time-programs. You'll also need to meet the following foundational requirements to get into Georgian. STUDENT CATEGORY BASIC ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS High school students You need to complete your high school diploma. If you get a conditional acceptance, make sure you meet requirements before starting at Georgian. Requirements could include passing courses or maintaining your grades. Mature students If you'll be 19 years of age or older as of the first day of classes at Georgian and don't have a high school diploma, you can apply as a mature student. Here are ways you can meet requirements: • Take courses at an Independent Learning Centre • Do your Academic and Career Entrance (ACE) certificate • Get your Ontario High School Equivalency (GED) certificate • Take a test through GeorgianCollege.ca/testingservices • Take credit courses at Georgian or another recognized college or university Students from postsecondary institutions If you've taken courses from another accredited postsecondary institution, you may meet admission requirements and be eligible for credit transfers or course exemptions. GeorgianCollege.ca/CTC If you have a degree or diploma, our one-year graduate certificates can help fast-track you into the workplace. GeorgianCollege.ca/graduate-certificates Home school applicants You can write a mature student test that meets the minimum standards for admission. Book your test through GeorgianCollege.ca/testingservices. English as a Second Language students You'll need to take an English proficiency test if you haven't completed: • Four years in a Canadian high school • Four years in a high school in an English-speaking country • A full year in an accredited university degree program in an English-speaking country For details, visit GeorgianCollege.ca/admissions/policies-procedures.
