ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
• Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)/
Certificate (C) , or be at least 19 years of age
on the first day of classes
• Demonstrate a level of independence that
does not require constant supervision
• Demonstrate academic needs which require
curriculum modification to succeed
• Students may require a criminal reference
check and/or immunization form depending
on their area of concentration
SELECTION PROCESS
• Advocate reference form must be
completed
• Students answer questions and complete
comprehension exercises during a
mandatory program admissions interview
This program is designed for individuals with cognitive disabilities and learning challenges
who require academic accommodations and modifications for success. This program provides
students with opportunities to enhance their academic and vocational skills in courses and
field placements. Integrated courses are modified to students' specific academic abilities and
strengths. Students are supported by learning facilitators who accompany students to class
and provide additional academic support.
Career opportunities
Graduates of the CICE program may find a variety of entry-level jobs. Students may choose
to apply to other college programs (without modification or learning facilitator support) after
completing the CICE program provided admission requirements are met.
