Students have the opportunity to apply theoretical and practical leadership, while acquiring the competencies to plan, promote, market, administer and implement special events and programs in a variety of recreation fields. Business fundamentals are also addressed as a valuable component of the curriculum. Saint John (NB). See page 23 for details. RECREATION AND LEISURE SERVICES RELS First-year Tourism and Travel students ventured to the northern edge of Algonquin Park for a three-day field trip. Students enjoyed hiking the Forgotten Trails, canoeing, kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding. They also heard from inspiring guest speakers.
