Students are available for co-op work terms or seasonal employment at various times of the year. Most work terms start in May, September or January and are usually four months long. How much are co-op students paid? Co-op students receive remuneration for the work that they perform. Salary rates are broken down by school of study and placement level. Are there subsidies or incentives for hiring co-op students? Yes, there are several government programs that offer fi nancial support to businesses for hiring post- secondary co-op students, interns or apprentices.
