Mature diploma and certificate program applicants If you'll be 19 or older as of the first day of classes and don't have a high school diploma (OSSD) or the equivalent, you may be considered for admission to the college as a mature student. Mature applicants must meet all program-specific prerequisite courses, including English, math, biology, chemistry and physics (if applicable). In most instances, mature applicants can write admissions tests for English and math in lieu of having these Ontario secondary school credits or their equivalent. Applicants are considered on an individual basis. Meeting the minimum admissions requirement does not guarantee entrance to a program. Communications Placement Assessment The Communications Placement Assessment (CPA) is written by most students entering their first semester, prior to registration. It helps us place you in the most appropriate communications course and doesn't affect your application. You can upgrade to college entrance level in math, communications, biology, chemistry, physics and more. For most applicants, there is no charge.
