Students study workplace safety, codes/regulations, propane fundamentals, system testing and troubleshooting in order to maintain and install gas-fired equipment in residential and commercial settings. The Barrie Campus program is delivered evenings and weekends only. GeorgianCollege.ca/PTGAST OCAS application required (program code: GASX) Ontario College Certificate Furnace installer, gas fitter, gas technician 2, gas technician 3, medical gas technician, pipe fitter, plumber, refrigeration, sales and service technician, sheet metal worker, and technical support. 13 program courses, 2 communications courses, and 2 general education courses. Diploma programs PROGRAM DETAILS CREDENTIAL CAREER OPTIONS GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS Civil Engineering Technician CVET n This program prepares individuals to work with engineers and construction project managers as part of a team constructing roads, bridges, sewers, water mains, and other infrastructure. Students determine data for cost estimation, perform materials testing, and assist in the administration of projects in the field. Teamwork and project-based learning are emphasized. This program is accredited by the Canadian Association for Co-operative Education. GeorgianCollege.ca/PTCVET OCAS application required (program code: CVEX) Ontario College Diploma, Co-op Building inspector/code enforcement, construction project manager, CAD designer, engineering assistant, estimator, government and urban planning, hydraulic/ hydrology/water resource engineering, quantity surveyor, transportation engineering, and wastewater engineering. 20 program courses, 2 communications courses, 3 general education courses, and 1 co-op work term.
