Gas Technician

In this program, students develop the theoretical
and practical skills required to obtain the Technical
Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) Gas
Technician 3 (G.3) and Gas Technician 2 (G.2)
certifications. Students study workplace safety,
codes/regulations, propane fundamentals, system
testing and troubleshooting in order to maintain
and install gas-fired equipment in residential and
commercial settings.
The Barrie Campus program is delivered evenings
and weekends only.

This program prepares individuals to work with
engineers and construction project managers as part
of a team constructing roads, bridges, sewers, water
mains, and other infrastructure. Students determine
data for cost estimation, perform materials testing,
and assist in the administration of projects in the field.
Teamwork and project-based learning are emphasized.
This program is accredited by the Canadian Association
for Co-operative Education.
