You become familiar with standard operating procedures for conducting environmental projects. As you progress through this program, you build applied knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislative requirements, environmental management systems, and the basic principles of ecosystem-based management for sustainability. With a focus on experiential learning, you gain hands-on experience through fieldwork opportunities and prepare for entry into a range of positions as you undertake industry- related certifications. Recognition of Achievement programs PROGRAM DETAILS CREDENTIAL CAREER OPTIONS GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS Home Inspection OAHI Georgian College offers the Home Inspection Training program in partnership with Carson Dunlop and Associates. This program incorporates the Standards of Practice of ASHI/CAHPI (American Society of Home Inspectors/Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors). The Standards of Practice define a minimum and uniform standard for private, fee-paid home inspectors. This program also conforms to the Professional Home/Property Inspector Occupational Standards developed by the Canadian Home Inspectors and Building Officials Steering Committee for National Standards (CHIBO). To qualify for recognition as a home and property inspector, you must successfully complete the 10 courses.
