It's a privilege to be among such an impressive group of people and to chair the AAEC. Two graduates who have caught the attention of the Georgian Board of Governors this year are Dale Boyle and Maria Artuso, who were the recipients of the 2024 Board of Governors' Awards of Distinction. Be ready to share your thoughts on which events, initiatives, and opportunities, offered through your Alumni Association membership, matter most to you as a grad. | Dale Boyle, Executive Director, The Gilbert Centre, accepts the Distinguished Alumni Award in a new Changemaker category. Maria Artuso, a vice President, Commercial Financial Services at Royal Bank of Canada, accepts the Distinguished Alumni Award in a new Progress and Achievement category. Two alumni were honoured with 2024 Board of Governors' Awards of Distinction at a special celebration on April 25. A graduate of the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Business Administration and Management, General program, Maria Artuso (class of 2001) was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award (Progress and Achievement). Maria is community-driven and focused on youth financial literacy, women empowerment and paying-it-forward. She is well-known professionally for her experiences within the financial services industry and is a Vice President, Commercial Financial Services at the Royal Bank of Canada. Dale Boyle (class of 2012, 2021) is a graduate of the Business Administration, Advanced Diploma, and the Bachelor of Business Administration (Management and Leadership) program and was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award (Changemaker) for his work as a community advocate. Dale, who is the Executive Director at the Gilbert Centre, has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to amplifying the voices of underprivileged groups and fostering inclusivity and equality for all. His passion for social justice drives him to take meaningful action, leading initiatives that address systemic barriers and empower marginalized communities. Inspiring excellence
