We know that hitting the 100,000 alumni
milestone is a momentous occasion,
but there are thousands of significant
achievements and stories behind this
impressive number. Here are just a few.
• Dave Brenneman (class of 1970) was the first-ever
president of student council.
• Gord Harris (class of 1971) was the first-ever male
athlete of the year.
• The first two female athletes of the year (1974-1975)
were Roberta Toni and Julie McKnight.
• Nancy Blain (class of 1972) was the longest-serving faculty
member and counsellor at Georgian - over 40 years!
• Arjun Batra (class of 2007) was the first international
graduate to be named Chair of Georgian's Alumni
Association Executive Council.
• In 2009, Georgian passed the 50,000 alumni mark and
in 2023, Georgian achieved a major milestone, having
graduated 100,000 students.
