Georgian
plays big
role in
grad's life
Introducing Shravan Pai, proud Georgian alumnus (class of 2006), faculty member
in the Engineering and Environmental Technologies academic area, and member of
the Alumni Association Executive Council.
What program did you study at Georgian, and why?
I graduated from the Mechanical Engineering
Technology Automotive Manufacturing (now,
Mechanical Engineering Technologist (META) program)
program. I selected this program at Georgian
because it included hands-on learning and a co-op
component built into it. I liked the idea of gaining
some Canadian work experience while studying full
time so that you are not anxious or overwhelmed
when you join the work force after graduation.
Are there any special moments or memories that stand
out to you from your time as a student at Georgian?
As a student, I used to work on campus at the math
lab and engineering hub. This was a drop-in service
for students who needed help to understand their
course material. I always enjoyed helping other
students and seeing them leave with a smile and
relaxed state of mind after they understood the
material and could solve problems on their own.
