Guy-Olivier Potvin is an ambitious young entrepreneur
from Montreal. He speaks English and French fluently
and has studied Spanish and German to expand his
communication skills. From starting as a lot boy at a
dealership to working his way into sales, financing,
marketing and project management, Guy-Olivier has
been able to understand customer needs and witness
opportunity within the automotive industry.
"I have been incredibly lucky to have had such amazing
exposure throughout my time at the Automotive Business
School of Canada (ABSC). Even though I did not have
connections in the industry to begin with, the ABSC
guided me every step of the way and opened some
incredible doors. Now, as a graduate of the program and
startup founder, I look back at my time and see that I have
gained nothing but valuable
lessons and lifelong friends."
Guy-Olivier has been working
closely with the Henry
Bernick Entrepreneurship
Centre to help launch his startup,
AutoRocket! When asked to describe
the service, he says "it makes online car shopping so
much easier." They have recently gained traction through
pilot projects and have already raised their first $70,000
in seed capital and will be expanding to the USA shortly.
He recognizes that the world is changing. "As we face
completely new challenges, this only motivates me to
participate and witness the tremendous evolution the
automotive industry will undergo."
