Students are introduced to digital cameras and industry-standard software used to capture and manipulate images in a way that develops students' interest, technical skills and creativity. Note: It is strongly recommended that students complete or begin to complete PHTO0025 Digital Camera Techniques, or have a firm understanding of the technical capabilities of their camera before taking other courses. Students are required to use their personal camera. RECOGNITION OF ACHIEVEMENT No application required This program is for anyone interested in teaching and training in an industry and/or academic environment. It is designed to develop the skills and knowledge of novices and refine the skills of current practitioners. Each course emphasizes principles involved in the adult learning process. Group process, active participation and learning by doing are stressed. The skills, ideas, expertise and knowledge of the students are used as key resources in learning about instructing adults. TEACHING AND TRAINING ADULTS PROGRAM CODE: TATA RECOGNITION OF ACHIEVEMENT No application required LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM CODE: LEAD This program is designed to enhance the leadership, critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills of current and aspiring frontline and mid-level managers. Students build on existing skills and experience and apply those skills to workplace situations. Current and future leaders learn skills to meet organizational objectives and career goals. Developed by a consortium of Ontario's community colleges and leading business and industry professionals, this program replaces the Ontario Management Development Program (OMDP). RECOGNITION OF ACHIEVEMENT No application required RECOGNITION OF ACHIEVEMENT PROGRAMS FOOD SERVICE WORKER PROGRAM CODE: FSWR In this program, students develop the skills and knowledge needed to be an effective member of a food service team in health-care facilities. The curriculum focuses on the role of the food service worker and the importance of issues such as safety, sanitation and nutrition.
