= CREDIT = ONLINE *Entry-level positions in the field are varied; some positions may require further education. 22 APPLIED PROJECT MANAGEMENT PROGRAM CODE: APMN This program provides students with practical and professional skills in all aspects of project management. There are six courses, including the integration project. All courses are compulsory and may be completed uninterrupted in 14 weeks, or over several terms up to a maximum of two years. Courses are designed to be taken sequentially to give students the opportunity to progressively work through the entire life cycle of a project, from initiation to closeout. The program finishes up with a practical integration project. This final project provides an opportunity to demonstrate competency by consolidating skills developed throughout the program. This program is offered in partnership with Georgian College and the Applied Management Centre. The PMP ® credential requires education, project management experience, training and an exam. This program provides more than twice the required training, and all of the content aligns with the most current version of the PMBOK ® Guide. We also provide guidance on studying for the exam. RECOGNITION OF ACHIEVEMENT No application required CONDOMINIUM MANAGEMENT PROGRAM CODE: COND This program is for people who are new to or currently working in the condominium management field, a growth industry throughout Ontario. Participants learn how to effectively deal with people, buildings and record keeping. Theory and practical problems are incorporated into all courses, providing opportunities for learners to develop their knowledge, skills and abilities in managing effective condominiums. Faculty are drawn from senior industry members (RCMs) and other experienced industry professionals. Completion of the four required courses is a prerequisite to writing the Registered Condominium Manager (RCM) examination set by the Association of Condominium Managers of Ontario. RECOGNITION OF ACHIEVEMENT No application required EMERGENCY SERVICES COMMUNICATOR PROGRAM CODE: EMSC This specialized training covers the basic requirements to become a 911 emergency operator. A Georgian College Attestation of Completion is awarded following the completion of the two required courses for a total of 72 hours of instruction. The principles of call- taking and emergency dispatching, the role and responsibilities of the emergency services communicator during a disaster, approaches to various types of crisis intervention calls (SIDS, suicide, etc.) and stress identification and management will be addressed.
