APPLYING TO LAKEHEAD-GEORGIAN APPLICANT TYPES AND DEFINITIONS Select your applicant type based on your education. For each applicant type, admission requirements may vary. STUDENT TYPE CAMPUS High school student You are currently attending a high school on a full-time basis or have recently graduated (within two years) and have not completed any postsecondary studies at another institution. A minimum 70% overall average or equivalent is normally required. University transfer student You have attended a university and have a minimum overall average of 60% or equivalent in your completed university coursework. College transfer student You have attended an accredited community college and have completed a minimum of one year of full-time academic studies since leaving high school. A minimum overall average of 70% or equivalent is normally required. Mature student You are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident who has not been engaged in full-time studies for at least two years. You have never attended a postsecondary institution. International student You have last studied at an institution, of any type, outside of Canada. If a current high school student studying in Ontario apply using the Undergrad (101) application. For all other applicant types, apply using the relevant Undergrad (105) application. APPLICANTS USING THE UNDERGRAD (101) APPLICATION: 1. CHOOSE YOUR PROGRAM Visit LakeheadGeorgian.ca to review our programs and select the one that best fits your passion and interests. 2. REVIEW ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS Check to ensure you have the necessary grades and prerequisite courses for the program you selected. 3. APPLY ONLINE Go to the Undergraduate (101) website, https://www.ouac.on.ca/ouac-101/, to complete your application by January 15, 2020. You'll need your Student Number, Temporary PIN, and School Number which your guidance department will provide to you. Your high school transcript will be automatically sent to us. 4. CHECK YOUR APPLICATION STATUS Through myInfo (https://erpwp.lakeheadu.ca/lg) you can easily check the status of your application and see which documents are required for submission. APPLICANTS USING THE UNDERGRAD (105) APPLICATION: 1. CHOOSE YOUR PROGRAM Visit LakeheadGeorgian.ca to review our programs and select the one that best fits your passion and interests. 2. REVIEW ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS Check to ensure you have the necessary grades and prerequisite courses for the program you selected. 3. APPLY ONLINE Go to the Undergraduate (105) website, https://www.ouac.on.ca/ouac-105/, to complete your application by March 2, 2020. You will create a user profile to start the application process. 4. TRANSCRIPTS AND OTHER DOCUMENTS Submit official transcripts to Enrolment Services – Undergraduate Admissions: Lakehead University 955 Oliver Road, Thunder Bay, ON, Canada P7B 5E1 Other documents may also be required. 5. CHECK YOUR APPLICATION STATUS Through myInfo you can easily check the status of your application and see which documents are required for submission. 14
