ALUMNUS DESIGNS NEW TRANSIT LOGO Paul Hogeveen HEAVY LIFTING FROM GEORGIAN GRAD Rodolfo Horta Paul Hogeveen's design for Orangeville Transit has been chosen as the new official logo after a contest to rebrand the organization was held. His new logo will be applied to the town's three transit buses and promotional materials. A Georgian alumni and former classmate have teamed up to launch Vulcan Heavy Industries, a company working to bring powered exoskeleton suits to market. They are developing a power-assisted suit that can triple an individual's strength, and has the potential to be a game-changer, especially in the emergency services sector. Rodolfo notes, "Our suit can save lives faster." The suit is currently being built in a garage in Ottawa, and the two are quick to remind us that some of the world's most successful tech start-ups got their start in a garage.
