19 87 19 88 19 89 Kent says that competing in an international culinary competition and assisting in a high tea presentation for Princess Diana at The Savoy in London are Georgian experiences he will always treasure. He adds that the college nurtured his entrepreneurial instincts. He's been owner of Michael and Marion's in downtown Barrie for 27 years. Infamous for creative costumes and antics as MC, Andrea (right) helps draw a crowd to the Georgian's Got Talent…or Not Benefit Concert – now in its 27th year. Through song, dance and comedy, the concert raises funds for students in need while showcasing hidden talents of students and staff – including Andrea's sister and show director Elaine (left). Receiving his acceptance letter was one of the defining moments of Darren's life. "I was at work on my 19th birthday, dreaming of all the places I would rather be." Today, as a Vice President at Sun Life Financial, he still uses the problem-solving skills he learned in college. Darren turns 50 this year too!
