Dog-to-Dog Aggression − Basics This basic course is designed to teach canine rescue workers, trainers and dog owners how to assess, manage and treat mild cases of dog-to-dog aggression. Participants will explore how to identify and categorize the common types of dog aggression, isolate the dog's motivation for the problematic behaviour, set realistic treatment goals and how to choose the best treatment and/ or management option for that dog. The course also reviews the technical aspect of applying strong management and two treatment techniques designed to rehabilitate the two most common types of dog-to-dog aggression. GINT 0194 | 4 HRS | ONLINE $97.50 MOTORCYCLE TRAINING COURSES Motorcycle Training – Introduction to Motorcycle Riding Not sure if motorcycling is for you? In this course, students will be taught the very basics of operating a motorcycle. Students will learn balancing, braking and slow speed control. NOTE: This session does NOT replace the basic course. Students will be prepared to take DRVR 0003 after this three-hour session. DRVR 0024 | 3 HRS | BA $199 Motorcycle Training – Basic (M1 Exit) This course includes both classroom and on-the-bike segments; motorcycles are provided. Individuals who successfully complete all instruction and the final test (M1 Exit) will be eligible to receive an M2 licence. Students must be 16 years of age for licensing purposes and must bring their current M1 licence and driver's licence. Courses are offered almost every weekend from April to October at various campuses with additional weekday and weeknight courses available in Barrie. DRVR 0003 | 19 HRS | BA, MI, MU, OR, OS, OV, SGB $535 Motorcycle Training – M1 Exit One-on-One This private motorcycle training course, with one student and one instructor, follows the same curriculum and format as DRVR0003. Please refer to DRVR0003 for further details. *To inquire about this course, please email Jenn.Martin@GeorgianCollege.ca DRVR 0025 | 19 HRS | BA $1,050 Motorcycle Training – M2 Exit Training This course is designed to prepare students for their final motorcycle riding skills or M2 Exit Test. There are three segments: classroom portion, a parking lot portion and a road portion. Students supply and ride their own motorcycles or motortricycles. (This course supports both 2 and 3 wheels). The final road test will be conducted by certified instructors on an individual basis immediately following the road training. This course provides successful candidates with an M licence. DRVR 0004 | 12 HRS | BA, MU, OR, OS, OV $470 Motorcycle Training – M2 Exit One-on-One This course is designed to prepare students for their final motorcycle riding skills or M2 Exit Test. The program consists of three segments: a classroom portion, a range or parking lot portion, and a road or street portion. Unlike the basic program, students supply and ride their own motorcycle for the M2 Exit training and test. Upon completion of the program, students book their road test with the College. The final test is administered by the M2 Exit course trainers. *To inquire about this course, please email Jenn.Martin@GeorgianCollege.ca DRVR 0028 | 12 HRS | BA $1,050 Motorcycle Training – Can-Am Spyder/Ryker Training Rider Training Basic is designed to teach the novice or experienced rider how to ride a three-wheeled motorcycle. This course takes the rider through basic skills training, including turning skills, shifting through gears, effective braking and controlling vehicle speed. Includes classroom learning and riding skill practise in the training lot on a Can-Am Spyder and/or Can-Am Ryker. Skill evaluation is conducted at the end of the course by MTO-approved signing authorities. Can-Am Spyder and/or Can-Am Ryker roadsters will be provided. Riders who successfully complete the training course and the final test will be eligible to receive an M2(M) licence. NOTE: Students are required to hold an M1 permit prior to registering for this course. DRVR 0031 | 10 HRS | BA $535 Motorcycle Training – Two-hour Try a Spyder/Ryker Thinking three wheels, not two, but unsure? Test drive a Can-Am Spyder/Ryker and learn to operate, brake and control a Spyder/Ryker and then take one for a closed-course ride, under the supervision of certified instructors. DRVR 0033 | 2 HRS | BA $100 Motorcycle Training – Three-hour Extra – Fine Tune Your Riding Skills Need some riding practice? Now you can practise those rider skills that you want to run through again. Ride in our lot on our training motorcycles with instructor guidance. This training time is ideal for those who were unsuccessful on their M1 Exit Skills Evaluation and also for those who were successful but would like some extra riding time, or for those who have not been actively riding and want to gain some confidence. DRVR 0034 | 3 HRS | BA $175 Motorcycle Training – Gearing Up Refresher This Canada Safety Council (CSC) refresher course is designed to give motorcyclists the opportunity to brush up on riding skills. Students must hold an M or M2 licence and be able to demonstrate entry-level riding ability. Upon successful completion, students receive a CSC certificate of completion. Students can expect two hours of classroom theory and six hours practical riding. Riding exercises include slow-speed maneuvers, push steering, emergency braking, emergency swerving, collision avoidance and negotiating curves. DRVR 0012 | 8 HRS | BA $209 OTHER GENERAL INTEREST COURSES Floral Design This course involves hands-on training to create modern, traditional, exotic and European floral designs. Students design arrangements using fresh flowers and natural materials. Students will learn to identify, care for and handle fresh flowers, plants and tools of the trade. Each class includes arrangements for students to take home.
