For more information, call 519.376.0840, ext. 2035 or visit library.georgiancollege.ca. You may also register for a free e-book account. When you recieve your library card, you will find a 13-digit identification number on the bottom of the card. You will need this number to access the e-book site. Please note that e-books are copyright protected and are not to be printed. PAYMENT METHODS All taxes are included on most courses. Payment of course fees must be made at time of registration, whether by email, mail, phone or in person. Payments can be made by credit card, certified cheque or money order. Personal cheques are not accepted. Payments can also be made at a bank payable to "Georgian College Tuition" (account number is your student number). If a course fee is under $1,000, payment is required in full at time of registration. If a course fee is over $1,000, and it is requested, a $500 deposit will be accepted at the time of registration. The balance is due prior to the start of the course. OFFICIAL INCOME TAX RECEIPT (T2202A) Official Tuition and Education Amount Certificates (T2202As) will be available online at sis.georgianc.on.ca by Feb. 28 each year. Forms will not be mailed to students. Your user I.D. will be your nine-digit student number. This number appears on the receipt sent to you at the time of registration and your PIN will be your six-digit date of birth YYMMDD. COURSE DATES AND TUITION All course dates and tuition/fees are subject to change. COURSE CANCELLATIONS AND TRANSFERS Every course in this calendar must have a minimum enrolment. If an activity is cancelled due to insufficient enrolment, registrants will be notified. Registrants may transfer to another course or seminar in the same semester or receive a full refund. Georgian College's Centre for Marine Training and Research cannot be held responsible or liable for any other fees, such as but not limited to travel, hotels, loss of work, etc., which are outside of our control. ATTENDANCE POLICY Candidates must have a minimum of 90 percent attendance for in class/theory portions, however attendance must be 100 percent in skill demonstration to obtain the TCMSS training certificate. 90 percent attendance is only to accommodate force majeure circumstances that may prevent a candidate from achieving full 100 per cent attendance. COURSE TRANSFER AND REFUND POLICY Withdrawals made five full business days or more before the training date will be eligible for a refund, less a $50 administration charge. Registrants who withdraw from a course less than five full business days prior to the start of the course are not entitled to a refund. Transfers into another course can be completed up to five full business days before the training date. Payments made by credit card will be refunded to the credit card on request. All other refunds will be paid by cheque. Please allow three weeks processing time. Note that registrants who fail to attend scheduled activities are not entitled to a refund.
