In all roles and practice settings, the dental hygienist works with the client and community using a problem- solving framework; basing all decisions, judgments and interventions on current dental hygiene research and theory. The program will prepare the graduate for the legal and ethical responsibilities of a dental hygienist and with a basic understanding of business practices related to self-employment. It provides in-depth theoretical and clinical components of acupuncture. Students benefit from expert clinical training that combines integrative health care models with traditional Chinese medicine, providing graduates with the necessary skills to practice as a regulated health care professional.
