FIRST YEAR FEES: $3,893.06 ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS OSSD or equivalent with • Grade 12 English (C or U) This program prepares graduates to assume responsibility for assisting in medical and health- related offices. This may include assisting medical practitioners with effective office operations, or assisting in offices or departments of hospitals or health care facilities. Industry trends and requirements are continually monitored to ensure curriculum remains current and relevant. Students are offered opportunities for office experience within the community. Career opportunities Graduates from this program generally find employment in: • medical practitioners' offices • nursing care facilities • hospitals • drug companies • provincial and federal governments • clinics • alternative practices such as: naturopathy, homeopathy, acupuncture, shiatsu • other offices Future study options: Graduates of OFAM may be granted credit toward degree studies at the following institutions via articulation and transfer agreements: Athabasca University (AB), Davenport University (US), Thompson Rivers University (BC) and University of New Brunswick Saint John (NB). OFFICE ADMINSTRATION – MEDICAL OFAM PLEASE NOTE International and landed immigrant applicants to the Aviation Managment program should be aware that the ability to obtain a valid security clearance is a condition of employment (co-op or graduate) with some international airports in Canada and is definitely a requirement for employment (co-op or graduate) within the Greater Toronto Airport Authority. FIRST YEAR FEES: $4,893.06 ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS OSSD or equivalent with • Grade 12 English (C or U) • Grade 11* or 12 Mathematics (C, M, or U), *minimum of 60% required in Grade 11 Mathematics This program is designed to give students knowledge and hands-on experience in aviation management as well as provide co-operative work experience in the aviation industry. A variety of aviation courses provide students with a solid understanding of the aviation industry in Canada and around the world. Students are given the opportunity to pass the examination to receive their Restricted Aeronautical Radio Operation License. Management courses are designed to give students an understanding of management practices and procedures to be prepared for future promotional opportunities. Career opportunities Graduates obtain employment in general aviation and aviation operations positions in a wide variety of fields: • airline management • airport management • airport planning • flight dispatch • government aviation agencies • further training with the Department of National Defense or to become air traffic controllers, commercial/airline pilots, or flight service specialists Future study options: Graduates of AVIA may be granted credit toward degree studies at the following institutions via articulation agreements: Davenport University (US), Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (US), Laurier Brantford (ON), and University of New Brunswick Saint John (NB).
