Georgian supports three entrepreneurship
centres. We embed entrepreneurship
principles into all full-time programs and offer
a diploma in Business Entrepreneurship. The
college also creates many opportunities for
people to develop entrepreneurship skills –
from building changemaker spaces to holding
pitch competitions.

LEADING SOCIAL CHANGE
Through the Centre for Social Entrepreneurship, Social Service
Worker students helped the Orillia/Barrie chapter of Dress for
Success grow. They engaged new audiences through newsletters
and social media, and ran a successful clothing drive.
DEVELOPING RESOURCES FOR ENTREPRENEURS
Georgian creates spaces and tools to help entrepreneurs succeed.
One example is Barrie Entrepreneurs Connect – a portal developed
in partnership with the City of Barrie providing information and
contacts for local small business owners.
