Isabella (Jinghua) Deng " My career goal is to be a professional researcher in marketing. I want to work in either the client side or supplier site. Right now, I am doing an internship in research and insight at MediaCom, which is one of world's leading media agencies. Through this internship, I have been able to really strengthen my analytical skills in a short period. At the same time, I am gaining exposure to real-world markets so that I have the opportunity to understand how business operates in this industry. Doing an internship like this gives me a chance to participate in real projects and turn my theoretical knowledge into practice. " Ethan Zhao " I want to work in the golf industry. I'm crazy about sports. Perhaps one day, when I get enough experience, I hope to be able to be a golf director or general manager at a golf course. I chose to study in Canada because of the culture, and the opportunity to seriously improve my language skills. I chose Georgian because of the safe location, nice facilities, top ranking golf program and awesome badminton team. The services at Georgian have really made a difference for me. My spoken communication skills in English have really improved. I've really enjoyed the school trips run by the International Centre. Teachers for the golf program and international centre staff have helped me a great deal. " Marina Pereira Ricardo " I started a Product Design program in Brazil in 2008, and then got a full scholarship to study Interior Design at Georgian. The program was really intense, but complete. It gave me a good sense of how challenging my work life would be. After a year and a half of studying at Georgian, I went back to Brazil to finish my original studies. Now I'm working to launch my own product design company – MaricDesign. Everything at Georgian was really amazing. My experience was really special, because I left my country, family and friends to go to another place, with another language, and somehow I still felt like home. It was an amazing time, and I met so many amazing people! " Abdulkader Ghourab " I'm from Saudi Arabia and have studied English all my life – my family wanted me to get a Canadian passport to create more opportunities for me. I have two aunts living in Barrie and my cousins recommended Georgian, so when it came to postsecondary studies, I chose to come here. When I started, my spoken English was good, but my writing needed work. English for Academic Purposes (EAP) at Georgian helped me overcome that challenge. They're ready to support any student facing problems. If you need one-on-one time with teachers, they're more than willing to help. Now that I'm in the Mechanical Engineering Technology program, it's good that the Math Centre is available to us as well. So far, my experience has been great. It's a powerful college, with everything you need to succeed. " STUDENT TESTIMONIALS 8 INTERNATIONAL VIEWBOOK
