make it easy to continue your post-secondary studies Georgian alumni have a host of opportunities to continue their education using the credits and experiences they acquired in their programs. Georgian has more than 400 articulation agreements with post-secondary institutions all over the world. Articulation agreements are formal documents which create pathways between two institutions and specify an approximate number of transfer credits students receive. Typically, the agreement process shortens the completion time and makes the transfer process seamless. For example, in some cases, students may complete a two-year diploma and a four- year degree in as little as four or five years. Currently, many Georgian grads are studying for undergraduate degrees at institutions in Canada and around the world by way of articulation agreements, after which they may move on to earn graduate certificates, masters degrees and even PhDs. Also, students may transfer to any institution without the benefit of an articulation agreement and may apply for exemptions on a course-by- course basis. Students and grads applying to programs at Georgian may learn more about credit transfer and course exemptions or prior learning and recognition (PLAR) at ctcregistrar@ georgiancollege.ca. A newly revised website operated by the Ontario Council on Articulation and Transfer (ONCAT) makes the process easier than ever for grads, and even current students, to take advantage of system-wide pathways to colleges and universities within Ontario. The site offers an interactive transfer guide that allows the user to input information such as their current level of education and program area of interest. The user then chooses the credential they wish to attain. This generates a list of pathways available, with direct links to program pages at various institutions meeting the user's needs. Students may search for future study opportunities on the Georgian articulation website at www.georgianc.on.ca/academics/ articulation/ and on the ONCAT website at www.ocutg.on.ca.
