He has continually strived for and achieved multi-product growth, raising the average number of insurance products to three or more per client, making his firm a leader on this front. He is an integral part of an 11- member executive team that is collectively responsible for more than $2 billion in premiums, and a staff of 2,730 people. One of the proudest accomplishments of his business life is being asked to serve as volunteer chair of the annual United Way fundraising campaign in two different communities; once in London in 1998 and twice in Guelph in 2006 and 2007. "It was through extra-curricular activities at Georgian that I gained an understanding and appreciation for team work, which I use regularly in my current role," says McCombie. Business leader believes in the power of teamwork Candice Reich had the vision to launch a highly specialized business, Sex Ed Central, in a niche where few are comfortable. Sex Ed Central provides comprehensive sexuality education programs and workshops to a diverse range of people including youth, individuals with developmental disabilities and other specialized needs, parents, foster parents and caregivers. Reich developed her programs from an initial 10-week comprehensive sex education program for youth she did in 2010 as part of her college placement. Her work as a student led her to become the recipient of the Governor General's Academic Medal for Academic Excellence.
