the Premier's awards for Outstanding College Graduates celebrate
the contributions that college graduates make to Ontario and
throughout the world. nominations are submitted by Ontario public
colleges in six categories: business, creative arts and design,
community services, health sciences, technology and recent graduate.
After three decades as an industrial
designer, Dale George holds many design
and intellectual patents. His work has led to
new consumer recreational products and to
technological advancements that address
social and environmental challenges.
With Paris Playground, a company
specializing in children's play equipment,
George invented the now famous "little
yellow" plastic backyard slide. He built
on the success of that one slide to create
modular systems and bolting/clamping
systems that have become the industry
standard for playground equipment.
