Georgian graduates already know the value of a college education. What you may not realize is that our one-of-a-kind University Partnership Centre offers a wider range of advanced study options than ever before. Georgian's University Partnership Centre was approved by the Ontario government in 2003, creating a unique and innovative model for delivering degree and graduate certificate study opportunities in Central Ontario. There used to be a clear distinction between the roles of colleges and universities. Today, those lines are blurred and we live in a society where applied skills and theoretical knowledge must be integrated. Employers are looking for doers, thinkers, creators and leaders, all in one person. As the postsecondary landscape continues to change, we can expect to see expanded pathways and more blended program options than ever before. Georgian's University Partnership Centre is perfectly positioned to help you get to where you want to be. The centre is home to more than 1,500 degree students, with room to grow. We offer Canada's only four-year Automotive Management and Golf Management degrees as well as a Bachelor of Human Services (Police Studies). Registered Practical Nurse professionals can pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree through our partnership with the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. We also offer a four- year Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in collaboration with York University. In total, Georgian has seven university partners offering on-site undergraduate and graduate degree studies. We are working hard to increase the number of specialized Georgian College bachelor degrees in the next few years. We will also seek to develop new partnerships with universities to develop expanded pathways and 2+2 options where students can graduate with both a diploma and degree in just four years. You may be particularly interested in our graduate certificate programs. With often just one additional year of study graduates of Georgian and other colleges and universities can seamlessly obtain credentials in specialized fields that lead to rewarding careers. We are proud of our University Partnership Centre and look forward to an exciting future with many more opportunities ahead.
