You will learn how to create applets and applications. It covers the fundamentals of object-oriented programming, data types, looping and control structures, strings, and arrays. It is a high-level interpreted programming language. The course introduces the students to the basic programming structures namely sequence, selection, iteration, text processing with regular expressions, arrays, subroutines, packages, modules and objects. cOMp 3028 | 42 hrs $429.84 date loc JAN. 13 – APR. 21 ONLINE MAY 12 – AUG. 18 ONLINE Routing Protocols This course introduces the student to the concept of dynamic routing protocols describes the classes of dynamic routing protocols and gives examples of protocols in each class. A student will learn to choose a dynamic routing protocol based upon many considerations. Scripting on the Mainframe Scripting tools are commonly used to automate tasks and perform maintenance routines on a mainframe. This course teaches students how to use common scripting languages such as PERL (Practical Extraction and Reporting Language), REXX (REstrucured eXtended eXecutor) and JCL (Job Control Language) on a mainframe. OL SqL Introduction The main objective of this course is to provide hands-on practice to make the students proficient, knowledgeable users of the major features of SQL. It introduces the students to Client-Server technology, and explores the concepts of relational databases and the powerful SQL needed for preparing the students to apply SQL in many practical applications. OL Introduction to C# Programming This course introduces fundamentals of C# programming language. Students will explore object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts including data abstraction, inheritance and polymorphism. Students will solve problems and automate tasks encountered in the daily business environment. cOMp 1065 | 45 hrs $420.75 date loc JAN. 13 – APR. 21 ONLINE MAY 12 – AUG. 18 ONLINE OL Java Intermediate This course assumes you have already taken the Java Introduction course. It will build upon the skills you have in developing Java applications to developing Java applets and more robust Java applications. You will learn some of the more advanced Java topics, such as how to utilize inheritance and use of the Swing Toolkit.
