The program
This program provides a broad education that will help you understand human behaviour
from multiple perspectives. The program serves as a foundation to prepare you to
enter specific people-helping career programs and human service fields. It introduces
academic coursework relevant to human services, develops interpersonal relationship
skills, explores basic helping skills and assists you in finding your personal identity as it
relates to becoming a skilled professional helper. Human Service Foundation offers a
unique interactive lab component for teaching and learning that incorporates the use of
advanced computer gaming technology and state-of-the-art interactive lab classrooms
so you can learn and practise in both "real" and "virtual" worlds of human services in
safe and supportive environments.
Graduate career opportunities
Graduates will improve their ability to compete in the Human Service workplace
occupations requiring a general human service education or with firms that prefer to
administer their own training programs.
