The program This program is designed to give students knowledge and hands-on experience in aviation and management, as well as provide co-operative work experience in the aviation industry. As a student in Aviation Management, you'll develop a solid understanding of the aviation industry in Canada and around the world. You'll be given the opportunity to pass the examination to receive your Restricted Aeronautical Radio Operation Licence. Management courses will give you an understanding of management practices and procedures to prepare for future promotional opportunities. Graduate career opportunities Airline management, airport management, airport planning, flight dispatch, government agencies. After further study: commercial pilot, air traffic control, flight service specialist Admission requirements OSSD or equivalent with • Grade 12 English (C or U) • any Grade 11* or 12 mathematics (C, M or U) *Minimum of 60% in Grade 11 college or university level mathematics (MBF3C or MCF3M) Mature students, non-secondary school applicants (19 years or older) and home school applicants may also be considered for admission. Eligibility may be met by applicants who have taken equivalent courses, upgrading, completed their GED and equivalency testing. Graduation requirements Students are required to complete 2 communications courses • 29 mandatory courses • 3 optional courses • 4 general education courses to be chosen from the college list • 3 co-op work terms Future study options Graduates of this program may be granted credit toward degree studies at other institutions including Davenport University (U.S.A.), Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Griffith University (Australia), University of Lethbridge, University of New Brunswick, Saint John and University of Ontario Institute of Technology.
