As a constable, I respond to calls across
Christian, Hope and Beckwith islands. But
I also take part in community events,
attend court, and enjoy regular training.
I like the variety that comes with being in
this small detachment.
Georgian College gave me the contacts
and knowledge I needed to become an
auxiliary constable, gain a job offer only
four months after graduation and complete
Ontario Police College with honours.
At the smaller Orillia Campus, I really got
to know my profs – many of them active
police offi cers. I made friends and enjoyed
being captain of the hockey team. I also
learned that if you work hard, you can
achieve your goals.
