The program gave me transferable business skills and a career in golf. I liked the relaxed
environment, my peers, my instructors – and I made great connections.
A guest speaker from St. George's Golf and Country Club, host of
the Canadian Open, hired me for my fi rst co-op. The next year,
I worked at the Country Club of North Carolina in Pinehurst,
N.C. – a golf mecca. My boss there recommended me
to Muirfi eld Village Golf Club, a private club in Ohio
established by Jack Nicklaus, where I was lucky
enough to get hired after graduation.
I'm responsible for member services, managing
40 staff at peak season. This industry is all
about taking care of guests and that's
what I love to do.
