HONOURS BACHELOR OF SOCIAL WORK (BSW) FOUR YEARS The Social Work program is concerned with structural and individual change and is committed to the eradication of social inequalities based on race, ethnicity, language, religion, marital status, gender, sexual orientation, age, abilities, economic status, political affiliation, national ancestry and all other forms of oppression. It is also committed to promoting awareness of the relationship between culture, language and ethnicity and the implications for social welfare and social work practice. BACHELOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (BBA) FOUR YEARS This program provides students with the opportunity to obtain a comprehensive degree in business. Courses include all aspects of business including accounting, finance, marketing, human resource management and strategic planning. Laurentian BBA graduates are well equipped to tackle the fast-paced and highly competitive business environment and to meet the most exacting demands of employers for diversified and flexible achievers. HONOURS BACHELOR OF COMMERCE (HBComm) FOUR YEARS Achieve the career of your dreams in accounting, finance, marketing, human resources, operations management... or better yet, launch your own start-up venture with the only program in Simcoe County to offer required courses toward the CPA designation. Students gain knowledge and skills for effectively leading, controlling and operating contemporary organizations. They also develop the skills needed for success in the business world: critical thinking, analysis, evaluation, problem-solving, communication and teamwork. Internship, small business consulting, competitions and exchanges are just some of the highlights of the program. As a recent BBA graduate from Laurentian University, I jumped feet first into a career which combines my passion for cars and my business acumen, as Parts Manager for Acura Barrie. Transferring my Automotive Marketing program credits from Georgian to the Bachelor of Business Administration at Laurentian was a straightforward process which allowed me to fast-track to the completion of my studies. Having a university degree and the right skill set for the business world has set me apart from other candidates vying for managerial positions. Great choices lead to great opportunities. This was the perfect pathway for me.
